After 5 years of living in Australia we've finally made it to Western Australia and Perth. Mam and dad are here for a few weeks in February so we've scarpered for a few days to get some R&R. So far we've stayed at Scarborough Beach on the beautiful Indian Ocean and then headed into the city today to see what Perth has to offer. The weather has been a pretty warm 32 degrees every day so far which is fairly normal for this time of year. Tomorrow we're thinking of heading to Freemantle and then maybe the Swan Valley the day after to sample a few wineries. Not too shabby ;-)

Freemantle has bugger-all in it. Nice little jaunt up the river though - do it on the boat, not by car.

Are you mad ? Freemantle has loads going on. You must have had your eyes shut that day !!
