Boxing Day Ashes Test

Traditional boxing day test at the MCG.  This year took Maxine, Ethan & Aidan (*who was bored within seconds of being there). Met up with Anthony at lunchtime as you can see. Very average day of batting for England .... which, having already lost the Ashes was no big surprise :-( .   Few pics of the day are here.

Merry Christmas one and all (if there is anyone still reading this after not posting for 10 months !!)....  No visitors this year which made it quiet, but we still had the traditional lunch in 30 degrees which was the hottest we've had so far since being in Aus!  See the link to the pictures here.

Around the lake in 80 seconds

 

Nice night for a walk by the lake in a week of 30 degree temps. No fires, floods or earthquakes so far on the folks visit. Theres a change for the better. See a few pics here.

Murray up close

Yesterday we were lucky enough to be at the 2013 Australian Open for a bit of corporate wining & dining and just happened to get the day Andy Murray was playing in the third round. Wasn't such an easy win but great to see him up close for the first time & playing well !  C'Mon !! You can see a few pics here.

Folks are here

The folks have arrived safe & sound after what sounded like an easy journey. Arriving from snow to 39 degrees may have been a bit of a shock to the system but they are adjusting quite nicely ;-)    So far no natural disasters have unfolded in the vicinity, although we could smell bushfire smoke when we woke up this morning !
