First pic....of my 2nd boy

Yep, we took the plunge to find out the sex of baby No. 2 .... and in keeping with family tradition.... its another boy !! Well, at least the scan looked very convincing of that fact anyway. So thats Shearer's and Owen's replacements sorted anyway. Handsome fella eh ?

Swimming pool installed

Yes, due to the heat out here I've invested in a swimming pool for all the family....as you can see being test driven by Ethan. Money's no object.

New Motor

Here's Maxines new motor for all the outback 4 wheel driving we plan to do (aka the mean streets of downtown Melbourne). We come all the way to Australia and buy a British made car (Land Rover Freelander)...how about that for patriotism. None of your Japanese Toyota muck for us eh Geoff. Fly the british flag with pride thats what I say.

Day out with Thomas & Friends

See, this is what happens to you when you become a parent of a 2 year old. You go to things like this. Today we took Ethan to the Dandenong Ranges, a large National Park near Melbourne to see the steam trains. Thomas the tank engine was there with all his friends (including the fat controller) and he took us on a ride for a whole 20 mins through the forest. Didn't see Ringo Starr anywhere though.... what a rip off.

See, we really know how to party.

Day at the races

Today we went to the Melbourne Cup, the largest race day in Australia. Victoria has a state holiday to celebrate so we all went off to watch the big race and soak up the atmosphere along with 106,000 others. It was red hot too, the temps hit 31 degs C so it was sweltering....good excuse for plenty of beer. We saw history being made as Makybe Diva won for the 3rd time in a row, the first time in 144 years that it has ever happened. Of course, I didn't back her to win. We did however come up trumps in the last two races of the day and came out $70 to the better for the days betting. Fantastic day to round off my holidays.....sadly its back to reality and the 4 letter word tomorrow.
