Yesterday we ventured out to the Dandenong hills which are only about 10km from where we live now. First we stopped off at Cardinia Water which is a large reservoir with lots of parks areas & kangaroo grounds. Judging from the grass... or rather the fields of droppings with a few green bits in it .... a lot of kanagroos come out to graze at dusk. We then travelled a few kilometres to the village of Emerald which is one of the steam railway stations in the hills. Its like stepping back in time to 1870. Ethan, Aidan & Maxine were planning a short trip along to Belgrave on Puffing Billy (that's the train in case you were wondering).... Aidan decided it was a bit too frightening, so Puffing Daddy had to carry him back to the car to drive to Belgrave & pick them up at the other end.....See a few pictures here!

Puffing Billy
