On Saturday we went into the city for a wedding (just the two of us) ... our first wedding in Oz. Maxine's friend from work, Tranda, was getting married at the Botanical Gardens in the afternoon on a typical blue skied day. The setting is pretty spectacular as the tropical east lawned area is where the marquee is set up and its up on a slight hill, looking down onto the city skyline. Not a bad spot. The bride held up pretty well considering she was knocked down by a car in the city only 2 weeks earlier and has
fractures in her leg! The reception was held at Albert Park,(of Grand Prix venue fame) overlooking the lake. It was nice to remember what adult conversation is all about ... the Numberjacks theme tune being a distant memory for all of 8 hours ! A nice day out....
